“Europe Most beautiful National Parks”
Jotunheimen National Park, Norway
First park in our list of “Europe Most Beautiful National Parks” is Jotunheimen National Park. It means giant house in Norwegian, which has landscapes like movies and fantasy books. Additionally it is in southern Norway, the park consists of a number of mountains bordered by frozen rivers and Alpine glaciers. In the Jotunheimen National Park you can see dense trees, wildlife such as reindeer, wolves and lynx and one of the best for hiking with beautiful trails.
Vatnajokull National Park, Iceland
Iceland is not a big country, but it has the second largest national park in Europe. In fact Vatnajokull is the national park famous for its ice caves, glaciers, frozen lakes and ice peaks. That’s why it falls in my list of “Europe Most Beautiful National Parks”. In this park, 7700 square kilometers seven volcanic mountains are present which can erupt. It is not without reason that Iceland is called the “Land of Ice and Fire”.
Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, Scotland
Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park is a must see in my list of “Europe Most Beautiful National Parks”. In fact this park with its pristine forests and mountains owes its reputation to the large lake at its center. So tourists who want to have fun such as jet skiing, kayaking and fishing should visit the park. In addition, hiking and cycling are very popular in the hills around Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park.
Snowdonia National Park, Wales
Snowdonia is the third park on our list of Snowdonia. When people think of Wales, its unique nature comes to mind. This park is exactly the true example of the beauties of Wales. You can see a wide range of natural landscapes like dense forests, rivers, mountains and enjoy a variety of activities such as hiking, and boating.
Swiss Saxon National Park, Germany
Contrary to its name, the Swiss Saxon National Park location is in the southwest of the German state of Saxony. This 93 square kilometer park is famous for its unique valleys, mountains and cliffs. One of the most important landscapes the Bastei Bridge, which connects two cliffs. Saxon Switzerland National Park has good facilities and is one of the best destinations for people with disabilities.
Gran Paradiso National Park, Italy
No.6 on my list of “Europe Most Beautiful National Parks” is Gran Paradiso National Park. In fact it is a great historical and wildlife importance in Europe. Gran Paradiso National Park is Italy’s first national park, which is truly a gem. The name of this national park is from the 4000 meter mountain of Gran Paradiso. The park is home to 1,124 species of animals and has 59 glaciers and 183 lakes.
Durmitor National Park, Montenegro
Durmitor National Park is one of the most beautiful destinations in “Europe Most Beautiful National Parks” that any adventurer should experience in his life. About a third of the year, the Durmitor Mountains has snow and is an ideal place for winter sports. Visitors can enjoy the view of the park as much as possible and go hiking, kayaking, etc. Black Lake is in the northern part of the park which is one of the most popular parts of the park.
Ordesa National Park, Spain
In the Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park is one of the most diverse national parks in Europe with its glaciers, waterfalls, mountains, lakes and rich wildlife forests. Ordesa National Park is between the Spanish and French borders. The Cola de Cabayo Falls and the Arazas River, which runs through the Ordesa Valley, are the park’s most popular 156-square-kilometer areas.
Peneda-Gerês National Park, Portugal
Peneda-Gerês National Park is unlike the other parks on my list of “Europe Most beautiful National Parks”. It may not be famous, however it is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful national parks in Europe. Actually what makes Panda-Grace special is its abundance of attractions and activities. Because in addition to animals such as wolves and wild horses, waterfalls and beautiful nature can visit small villages whose houses date back to the 12th century.
Rila National Park, Bulgaria
In addition to being the name of a city in southwestern Bulgaria, Rila is also the name of the country’s largest national park. Additionally Rila Park has colorful mountains that you cannot find anywhere else. You can see glaciers at the highest peak of the Balkan Mountains. Additionally other reason that attracts tourists to this park is the beautiful lakes throughout the park.
