If you have got just 5 days to spend in Italy, I will give you “Italy 5-day Travel Itinerary” to explore a taste of everything that Italy offers.Top locations for this itinerary are: Rome, Amalfi coast, Venice.
Rome
Rome is considered the capital Roman Empire heritage of the world. To not get overwhelmed with so many places to visit in Rome, I will be highlighting some of the most visited and must places in Rome. If you plan to drive in Rome while on vacation, DON’T DO IT!!!! It is very difficult to find parking spots around the Rome main attraction, meanwhile the public transportation is very handy and easy to use. If you book your accommodation close to the “Rome Termini Railway Station” area, you can even walk to the most desired tourist attractions in Rome, except for the Vatican which is a bit far away.
Check out all attractions in Rome such as Colosseum, Vatican City, Roman Forums, Trevi Fountain and more in details in Rome Top Rated Attraction in 3 Days.
Amalfi coasts: Positano
Amalfi coast is home to 13 UNESCO listed villages spread along the 30 miles of Mediterranean Sea. Spectacular view of the Mountain, cliffs and Mediterranean Sea plus the pastel color painted houses and abundance of lemon trees and luxury villas are just a few things to mention from this area. So many restaurants built into the cliffs with a stunning view is another attraction that makes your dining experience one of the most memorable ones.
From these iconic villages, Positano is probably the most famous one that I went to. It offers the best of dining options, the true spirit of Amalfi coast view, many unique boutiques and a perfect place for a romantic escape.
Although it has so many steps which makes it a bit challenging if traveling with kids and also is the most expensive town in that area. You can get the train from Rome with a connection in Naples to get to Sorrento and take a bus to Positano.
If you are planning to drive, it is one the best experiences you had in your life in regards to views. And beauties awaiting you but driving in those super narrow streets and roads are extremely challenging. My dad was about to get a heart attack on several occasions :), but still was worth it as we had so much flexibility to explore the area.
Visiting Amalfi Coast will be the most charming experience among your “Italy 5-days travel Itinerary“.
Summary: Nobody or no picture or video can explain what you will experience there until you try it yourself.
Venice
Almost everybody in the world loves to visit Venice once in their life. This place is so charming and unique that it is everybody’s dream vacation. Why? It is different from any aspect. It is hard to know where to begin as it has so much to offer. Every turn and corner has something amazing worth of taking a photo.
Visiting Venice will be the most glamorous part of your “Italy 5-days Travel Itinerary”.
If you have just two day to enjoy Venice, visit St. Mark’s Basilica, which is a one of a kind architecture in Gothic, Roman antiquity. The Grand canal is an absolute must see. It’s the main street of Venice, filled with shops, restaurants and stunning views of the water. Walk down the grand canal, sit by the water and take in the difference and the peace. The main transport of the old days was Grandola which is still in operation, and you can hop on as peacefully as is and enjoy the view from the water.
On your second day I recommend you to take the fury to see the famous Venice island: Murano, Burano, Torcello, Each one has its own character totally different from Venice. Burano is famous for its lace works and handcrafts. Murano has some world famous artistic and exceptional glassware.
