The trail starts at the Happy Isle Bridge. It’s a popular hike, so be prepared for crowds on the weekends. The trail climbs up granite steps and then switchbacks up to the Vernal Fall footbridge. From here, you can see the waterfall in all its glory.
The trail continues up to the top of Vernal Fall, then switchbacks again to get to Nevada Fall.
